The Featherstone Difference

Featherstone was brought in by the Village of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin to help them create competitive recreational amenities for their community. There was a need for both adult and child recreation activities. The Village wanted modern Special Event and Entertainment spaces, as well as multiple Sport venues. Utilizing their design and construction knowledge, Featherstone worked with the Owner and Design team to further develop the project program and implementation strategies

Featherstone provided the cost and constructability information the team needed to make informed choices regarding various elements, materials, and timelines. The construction phase began in earnest during an unseasonably heavy period of rainfall. The team had to battle the weather consistently to keep the project on track. Fortunately for the client, a critical decision had been made up front to provide significant drainage infrastructure to improve the utility of the ball fields throughout all types of bad weather.
